“Happy Monday morning! We hope everyone is keeping warm in these chilly Atlanta (and beyond) temps!! What better way to warm up than with a great guest announcement?! Joining us for Dragon Con 2014 will be the cast from Being Human, Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, Sam Huntington, and Kristen Hager. Only 234 days to go!”

“Being Human” is about the (mis)adventures of three unlikely roommates: Aiden (Sam Witwer), who is a vampire; Josh (Sam Huntington), who started the show as a newly-turned werewolf, who was able to reverse the curse and turn back human (by killing the werewolf who sired him), and was turned back into a werewolf at the end of last season; and Sally (Meghan Rath), who is a ghost that was briefly transformed into a reanimated corpse (but don’t use the word zombie, she hates that word) by the use of black magic, and eventually ended up “dying” again at the end of last season. The trio is rounded out by Nora (Kristen Hager), who is Josh’s new wife and became a werewolf in Season 2 as a result of being accidentally scratched by Josh. Did you get all of that?

Dragon Con 2014 will mark the second appearance for actors Witwer, Huntington and Rath; they attended in 2011. You can find my interviews with them by clicking the following links: Sam Witwer, Sam Huntington, Meghan Rath.

Dragon Con is the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film. Every Labor Day weekend, about 40,000 people crowd the streets and take over the hotels of downtown Atlanta to meet friends, celebrities, cosplay and totally geek out. This year’s event will take place August 29 – September 1. Ticket information can be found on the official website.
